Waikoloa for dinner

After a long day of adventure, we drive to Waikoloa on the north end of the island for some grub. We ate at a Macaroni Grill in a nice shopping mall area. We'd had 2 swings, 2 misses at good, local Hawaiian fare, and we needed some food we knew would be decent enough and satisfying. I got a steak and asparagus and both tasted great. The kids enjoyed playing around in the mall area (a lot like Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach) after supper. Nice end to another fabulous day in Hawaii.

This sign in a hat store had both English and Japanese, as tourists here are roughly split between these two nationalities. Cool!

And, on the drive home, we found some excellent prospects for the local fare we've been seeking, so I think tomorrow I'll have better news to report on that front. ;)
