On our way to Tonopah, NV - Mesquite

It's 8:15am and we've made it to Mesquite, NV. The mountainous area in the northwest corner of Arizona is other-worldly. Then, as suddenly as you're in them, you're out of them and it's flat (3rd picture from the bottom).

[We saw huge turkeys in Zion as we were leaving this morning. I also tried to get a picture of the tennis shoe tree we saw coming into Zion the other day (1st picture below).]

We had a horrible breakfast experience this morning. Got up early to try to make good time (longest part of our trip is today's drive), and we were pulling out of Zion before 7am. We stop at the Burger King in Hurricane, UT, and 25 minutes later we're leaving the drive-through with 80% of our order, and of that, only 50% was what we actually ordered. It was like I was pregnant again, when I had serious food anger issues. The kids were still hungry and I hadn't eaten yet (mine was the missing 20%), so we tried the McDonald's in St. George and had better luck. Finally, we are back on the road and making progress toward our goal. :)
