Emerald Pools Trail

We did a 1.5-mile hike to the Emerald Pools, on a trail that starts near tge lodge. Breath-taking views from every step. The kids did a great job watching their footing - no major accidents. Sam dropped her water bottle pretty early on, but it didn't fall too far and Bill, the SuperDad, retrieved it for her. There were more little waterfalls at the top, very refreshing mists from them, fun to walk under.

Most of the trail wasn't too scary, but there were a couple of spots that made me hurt. In the shuttle, there is a recording describing the features along the way and what is at the next stop. At some point, it discusses how dangerous various parts are, and at the end, it always says, "Remember, your safety is your responsibility."

The first shot below is me all but laying on the ground, camera pointing up to try to get them and the peak above in view. Picture doesn't show how tall that wall of rock is behind them.

We made our way onward to the Grotto, where we hiked to last night., caught the shuttle, and are now headed down to the park entrance to make our way back up to the lodge, stopping to explore along the way.
