Flight to Boston

The kids did great on the planes. Laughter, smiles, no fear. As usual, they made friends with people we encountered. We rode the T (subway) to our hotel and then walked around a bit to stretch our legs. We caught the first 2/3 of an organ recital at Trinity Church - wonderful. We walked through the Public Library - marble everywhere, gorgeous. Then the kids and I toured the Public Gardens and tried to keep from getting bitten by the too-tame, fat squirrels. The leaves were just past peak, still lovely. And the kids had fun playing with the "Make Way for Ducklings" ducks. We rode the subway back to our hotel (quick ride)and checked into our rooms. We snacked on a delicious brioche loaf I bought at a street vendor - delicious! We're resting in room now. The kids have made their first entries in their journals, very sweet.
